Semiconductor intellectual property (IP) provider CAST, Inc. is introducing a new IP platform and evaluation package aimed at helping designers develop systems around ARM® Cortex™-M0 processors. CAST’s senior vice-president Bill Finch will describe this new JumpStart Program in a webinar December 9, 2010, 9:30–10:30 PST.
CAST’s JumpStart program works with the ARM DesignStart™ online IP portal. The DesignStart Portal includes a special downloadable configuration of the Cortex-M0 core, but lacks peripherals, test facilities, and support. CAST’s JumpStart complements the DesignStart offering by adding:
- The PiP-M0 platform from SoC Solutions, Inc., with IP cores and essential software for a working system, including peripherals, bus interfaces, and memory controllers.
- Models, testbench, and more for simulation using the Mentor Graphics® ModelSim® or Cadence® Incisive® tools, and a sample project for evaluation of the Keil™ µVision™ IDE.
- A system evaluation capability with the platform IP pre-loaded on an FPGA board, a pre-defined C test project, and utilities and links to the Keil µVision tools.
- Various options for expert support starting with one week free, plus attractive licensing terms for evaluation or commercial system production.
