General Purpose IP Cores

CAST gpIP cores are available in HDL form for synthesis to ASICs or optimized for Altera and Xilinx programmable logic devices.

These popular and standards-based cores are fully verified, and include a complete set of deliverables (synthesis scripts, testbenches, example designs, etc.). Pricing varies; please contact CAST or your local distributor for details.

Our gpIP line gives you a broad range of core choices:

8051-compatible processors include legacy, high-speed, and compact variations. These 8-bit processors are an excellent price/performance choice for many embedded controller applications.

Other processors include 4-, 8-, and 16-bit microcontrollers and slices such as the 2901, Z80, 68000, and 80186, plus the 32025 DSP processor. These are useful as cost-effective replacements for obsolete parts, or as the controllers for automotive, industrial, and other application areas.

Use buses and networking functions to easily build interconnection and expansion interfaces into your design, with industry-standard cores such as the Ethernet MAC, USB, and PCI.

A variety of application-specific cores for multimedia and encryption let you reliably incorporate these specialized technologies into any design. Efficiently process and compress JPEG and other graphics or integrate encryption standards like AES or DES into your next communications device.

Select from several UARTs and serial communications functions, keyboard, CRT, and other peripheral controllers, and dozens of TTL and basic functions to rapidly complete these straightforward yet necessary elements of every system.

Contact CAST or your local distributor for help in making the best gpIP core choices for your particular project.
