Long before it reached today's popularity, CAST embraced the "home office" approach as en excellent way to deliver both superior service and outstanding value to our IP customers. Most of us still work primarily from home, enabling the 24-hour, super-fast response support for which we are known.
Our headquarters are in New Jersey near New York City, and several employees are situated in and around that area. We also have people in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.
Our main CAST engineering office is in Brno, Czech Republic. Bus and interface experts there lead our in-house development in these areas. They're augmented by USA employees who develop serial communication, multimedia, and other cores, and lead our innovative work in designing, packaging, and delivering semiconductor IP for easy reusability.
Our tight relationships with expert IP developers means customers of most of our products can still speak with the actual developers of their specific IP cores.
Beyond Semiconductor, Slovenia
Beyond Semiconductor is a privately-held fabless semiconductor IP company whose comprehensive product offering includes the innovative BA2x Family of 32-bit processors—with the highest code density in the industry—plus advanced software development tools and a complete rapid design and debug ecosystem. Beyond Semiconductor has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2011.
Fraunhofer Institute IPMS, Germany
As Europe's R&D partner to industry, the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems has been the source of multiple CAST cores through the years. Today we're proud to feature their excellent CAN 2.0 & CAN FD Bus Controller Core, which is the first such IP core available with support for the advanced Flexible Data specification. Fraunhofer, IPMS Institute has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2002.
Fraunhofer Institute HHI, Germany
The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute is a leading developer of mobile and fixed broadband communication networks and multimedia systems. From real-time video and image processing architectures to photonic components and systems to fiber optic sensor systems, the Heinrich Hertz Institute works together with its international partners from research and industry. Fraunhofer HHI has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2014.
Nolam Embedded Systems, Claymont, Delaware USA; Haifa Israel; Paris France
Founded in 2006 and a CAST partner since 2017, Nolam has developed innovative, board-level products and systems that help it lead the aerospace, defense, naval, medical, telecom, and industrial markets. Nolam’s in-house engineering team helps customers define project specifications and develops solutions from drivers and system software through IP cores to FPGA hardware systems, complete with all artifacts necessary for DO-264 up to DAL-A compliance packages. Customers include EADS (Airbus Group), Israel Aerospace Industries, Kongsberg Defence Systems, MBDA Missile Systems, and Thales.
Ocean Logic, Australia
Ocean Logic Pty Ltd is a small company formed in 1996. Their expertise in ASIC and FPGA design and the hardware implementation of complex algorithms led them to evolve from digital design consultancy services to developing state-of-the-art intellectual property. Their video compression and encryption IP cores have been successfully incorporated in many shipping customer products around the world.
Panasonic PIDST, Japan
Panasonic Industrial Devices Systems and Technology Co., Ltd. (PIDST) is a Panasonic Group company that develops hardware and software systems for use throughout Panasonic's diverse product offerings. PIDST engineers develop semiconductor designs and advanced software solutions, execute and evaluate prototype systems, and design and package intellectual property for imaging systems, standard interconnects, and other applications for deployment by Panasonic product divisions.
Sandgate Technologies, Australia and Pennsylvania, USA
Sandgate Technologies provides scalable IP and technology designed for extraordinary performance in single and multi-stream networking use cases. The company’s core team of engineers began working together in 1996 and has remained focused together on data compression and networking through several corporate iterations. Sandgate has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2014.
Silesia Devices, Poland
Founded in 2013, Silesia Devices' engineers bring with them many years of microcontroller and processor IP development at Evatronix SA. Focused on designing a new-generation 8051-compatible controller, they are determined to deliver the best performance, area, and energy usage results available anywhere. Located in Upper Silesia, the company is helping transform this former home of heavy industry in southern Poland into an emerging new high-tech business center. Silesia has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2013.
Silvaco, Georgia, USA
In 2017 Silvaco acquired SoC Solutions, who has been a CAST IP Technology Partner since 2004. Silvaco continued the partnership with CAST after SoC Solutions' acquisition. The SoC Solutions team has decades of experience developing, programming, debugging, and delivering diverse processor-based system designs. They provide system and application platforms using ARM, BA2x, Tensilica, and other popular processors.
