Designers Seek Trustworthy IP PartnersI recently gave a presentation that seemed to really resonate with the audience of designers, project managers, and group/company leaders.
We work hard to be every customer's trustworthy IP partner, not just their commercial IP provider. That's why we do three things a little differently than most vendors. First, we make it easy to understand exactly what we offer, via datasheets on our website and with complete technical documentation available through our sales, support and engineering team. This addresses a particular pet peeve of mine, the prevalence of "marketing fluff" and too much "corporate speak" in technical marketing materials. We don't bury you in petty prose but instead simply give you specs, block diagrams, resource and performance statistics, and other data you need to judge the suitability of each CAST product. And we do this without without making you register or even telling us who you are. Second, we try to help you make sure a core is really going to be the best solution for your particular application, even though you may have never had to work with that function before. And third, we value your time by answering questions very quickly, and doing all we can to eliminate any technical or other slow downs. We take the responsibility of supplying your IP blocks very seriously. Let me know if you, too, could use a trustworthy IP partner for your next design project. -- Hal Barbour, President , +1 (201) 391-8300 ext. 111 Samsung Uses SpeedView JPEG EncoderThe innovative SpeedView™ technology from Scalado® AB enables tremendously faster viewing and manipulation of very large, high-resolution images (download the SpeedView brochure). Our SVE-JPEG-E image compression core is we believe the only ASIC or FPGA IP core available with SpeedView encoding built in. We're proud to announce that Samsung has made use of this core in new image signal processor blocks aimed at slim mobile handsets. Read more in our Samsung news release. Sorting Out Compression IP OptionsThe Scalado SpeedView JPEG Encoder mentioned above is just one of the many image and video compression cores we offer (see them all in our compression cores overview).
