Come visit CAST at DATE
If you're attending DATE in Munich this week, you won't have any trouble
finding CAST!
This year our booth
is within the OCP-IP
Pavilion (stand D1000), as part of our commitment
to this and other standards that help make IP cores work better
for you. There's a full schedule of interesting events in the OCP-IP
theater, including a panel discussion we've organized, and a CAST
paper:
IP from
Silicon Vendors: Good or Bad?
OCP-IP Pavilion, Tuesday, March 8, 4:00pm - 5:10pm
Moderator Andy Travers (CEO, VCX
Software) leads a discussion of the pros and cons of buying IP from
ASIC and FPGA vendors versus third-party IP providers. Participating
are Bill Finch (VP Sales, CAST), Roderick McConnell (Business Development
Manager, Infineon
ASIC Group), Pat Mead (Senior Technical Marketing Manager, Altera
Europe), and Bernie Perrin, European Marketing Manager, Lattice
Semiconductor Corp.
A Modest Approach to the IP Business — That's Worked
for Over Ten Years
OCP-IP Pavilion, Tuesday, March 8th from 1:50-2:30pm
Bill Finch describes how CAST's lean, customer-focused style has served us
well for over ten years, with info and tips for both users and providers of
IP cores (download the presentation).
You can also see me and representatives from several larger firms on what
promises to be a very entertaining panel sponsored by the VSIA:
Survival of the
Fittest. Will Small IP Makers Make It?
Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 1:00pm-2:30pm, Room C12
And, of course, we'll have some interesting core demos in our booth, and
we can answer your questions about choosing and integrating any
of our over 100 different IP cores. So, stop by and see us!

New at DATE: USB Hi-Speed, Multi-Port
OTG Core
This week we're announcing our new USBHS-OTG-MPD core. This hi-speed (USB
2.0) On-The-Go core supports multiple ports and features an integrated
DMA that helps make it easier to use and more efficient in operation.
Check out the DATE news
release or the core datasheet for more information.
DesignCon Thanks
We
had a great time last
month at DesignCon. Thanks to the
many local customers who visited our booth, and welcome to the
potential new customers who came to see what "IP that
Works"
is all about. We announced a
new member of our JPEG core line, the first commercially-available
Lossless JPEG (LJPEG) core. This technology is meant for applications
like medical or military imaging or studio-quality digital cameras,
where bit-by-bit accurate image compression is required but JPEG
2000 is not needed. We offer the LJPEG-E
encoder and the LJPEG-D
decoder cores.
Get in touch
Give us a call (201/391-8300) or email if
you'd like a private meeting at DATE, or just to learn more about
how our line of over 100 cores can work for you.
