NewsCAST Delivering VHDL Models for Intel Pentium and Pentium Pro Processors
Pomona, New York, November 20, 1995 -- Electronic design automation (EDA) provider CAST, Inc. today announced that it is shipping and supporting VHDL simulation models of the Pentium and Pentium Pro processors from Intel.
Selected by Intel and using Intel-verified source code, CAST is offering bus functional compiled simulation models for a variety of popular VHDL simulators. These models enable cost-effective system verification by computer and peripherals designers creating Pentium processor-based products. The models use the standard Intel Bus Functional Language (BFL), and include VHDL Testbench and BFL files. CAST can customize the models to meet particular design requirements.
The company also offers full functional models of the supporting 82450GX PCIset, and expects continuing expansion of its Pentium Processor Series model catalog. Interested customers should check the company's Web site for the latest offerings (http://www.cast-inc.com).
The Pentium and Pentium Pro processor models are available now, for both Windows and Unix platforms and for the Cadence Leapfrog, IKOS Voyager, Mentor QuickVHDL, MTI V-System, Vantage Optium, and Viewlogic ViewSim VHDL simulators. Standard U.S. pricing is $5,000 for each model. Annual support is $5,000. A special Introductory Pricing Program provides a %50 model price discount for orders placed by the end of January, 1996.
