NewsCAST and Radcore Announce the C49402 Synthesizable VHDL Core
C49402 has been discontinued
Design Automation Conference, San Francisco -- June 15, 1998 -- Intellectual property (IP) provider CAST, Inc. and development partner Radcore, Inc. today announce the availability of the C49402 Synthesizable VHDL Core.
Based on the classic AMD 2901, the C49402 is the functional equivalent of four 4-bit 2901 devices. The 16-bit cascadable ALU slice contains an expanded instruction set and provision for a 64-element register file as provided in the original 49C402 implementation by IDT. It also contains carry look-ahead logic based on the AMD 2902 look-ahead generator design.
The C49402 may be used in any application where logical or arithmetic operations are required. It is instruction set compatible with both the IDT and Cypress 49C402 implementations. The C49492 is technology-independent, allowing either programmable device or ASIC designers to benefit from its use. As with all Radcore designs, the C49402 can be provided with TMR (triple modular redundancy) implemented for radiation hardened applications.
The C49402 comes complete with synthesizable code, test bench, test vectors, and documentation. It is available immediatly. A datasheet is available at the CAST Web site (www.cast-inc.com), where customers may also locate their local CAST distributor.
