Hello CAST Customers and Friends – 
 
As you may have heard, Cadence has announced an acquisition of the IP business of CAST's long-term IP partner, Evatronix SA.
 
I’d like to reassure you that CAST will be continuing to license and support the 8051s and other Evatronix-sourced products we’ve been carrying, and that we see only positive changes from this acquisition for our existing and new customers.
 
Let me share some background with you.
 
For more than 15 years, CAST has enjoyed a special relationship with Evatronix as an investor and distribution partner. We’ve been their worldwide partner for IP marketing, sales, and support, and we’ve played a key role in their growth. From the outset, we supported their intent to achieve liquidity of Evatronix shares through either an acquisition or an IPO, but at the same time we have taken steps to protect our customers’ interest.
 
Cadence has acknowledged this relationship, and CAST, Evatronix, and Cadence have worked well together these past months to ensure the continuing success of our customers. The CAST/Evatronix—soon Cadence—relationship has been highly effective, and we don’t anticipate any changes.
 
You can be fully confident that CAST will be there to support you through any current or new projects. Moreover, the deeper engineering resources of Cadence will now be supporting us in helping you, only improving the extent and depth of service you already expect from CAST.
